LOGIC SHEET FOR WHERE STEPHEN LYONS CAME FROM IN CORK - compiled June 2015

A male descendant of Stephen, my cousin John Lyons in S.A., has an all 37 DNA markers match with 2 males, each descended from a different Lehane who lived west of Macroom in ~ 1820 and in 1800. These are:

1. Jim Lyons, Vermont, whose ggrandfather Daniel Lehane was born ~1843 in Derreenaling, Ballyvourney, to a James Lehane. Jim's 2nd cousin Betsy gave me Daniel's 1870 m.c.& maybe has his 1920/1930 d.c.??

2. Paul Lane, whose gggrandfather Stephen Lehane ~1800 emigrated 1850 and may have married a Joana Healy 1823 in Kilnamartyra.: this now seems very likely due to the matching DNAs, Kilnamartyra being the neighbouring parish to Ballyvourney. But, unfortunately the baptisms I have found in Kilnamrtyra to Stephen & Joana do not match up with their known children who lived with them in the States

3. Ballyvourney Information
