Albert Walter Suckling killed 18/10/1916, on the Somme - within a month of his brother, Clarence's death , on the Somme He had enlisted at Colchester, was in the 9th Bttn Essex Regiment, and his address was South Wonston, Hants- the 1911 address for his parents & siblings . His Medal Card shows that he did not go abroad until 1916. His parents, Arthur & Louisa were living at 2, Moss Villas, Elmhurst Rd., Langley, Bucks.. His nephew John Suckling has his war medal
