Parents Francis Robinson & Elizabeth Rousell .Born in Stanford Rivers [ according to 1881C, but 1891C,1901C & 1911C state Hatfield but BMD entry is Ongar, so Stanford Rivers must be correct: if Hatfield, would state Dunmow] , no baptism found.The family moved to Hatfield Broad Oak when he was a baby, and then to Clapham by the time he was 8.
1881C.Aged 8,living at Broomfield Road,Clapham, with father Francis,stableman,& siblings mother missing or omitted!
1890. His father Francis Robinson dies
1891C, aged 18, a Groom, living in 2 rooms at 155 Park Road, Clapham, with his mother and younger brother Robert, 15, paralysed from childhood.
1896. He marries in Lambeth, Dec 1896 1d.916 Alice Thirza Holden. Marriage probably a civil one, as no church record on Ancestry.com. Alice born Wandsworth 1877.
Their children were:
1901C, George T.Robinson, 28, b. Hatfield?!, Hackney carriage driver-groom, is living 111 Clapham Park Road with Alice T.Robinson 24, b. Clapham, Charles E.Robinson 3 b. Clapham and George T.Robinson 8mths b. Clapham. . .. . . .
1911C, George Thomas Robinson, 37, Hackney Carriage driver-commercial contractors, Alice Thirza Robinson, 34, 6 children, 6 alive, Charles Howard Robinson 13, George Thomas Robinson 11, Francis Edward Robinson 8 , Florence Alice Robinson 6, Annie Elizabeth Robinson 3 & Ivy Ellen Robinson 3mths in 3 rooms- quite crowded - at 74 Gilbey Road Tooting Wandsworth. Cannot find in London Electoral Registers.
These descendants are probably my only chance of this Robinson branch continuing to 2008.
1939 Register . George T Robinson, born 6/7/1872, horsekeeper, disabled through illness, was living 74 Gilbey Road, Wandsworth, with Alice T Robinson, born 12/2/1877. Plus one closed record . Thus living in the same house as in 1911
1939 Death of a George T. Robinson in Wandsworth in 1939, est. age 65 could well be him.
1962. Alice T Robinson probably dies Battersea 1962, aged 85.
