James Jesper 1647-1690 Will. written 17/10/1690

The last Will & Testament of James Jesper of Great Easton in the county of Essex, mallster, is as follows. ...I give ...unto Susan my lawful wife all and singular my house, land ...during the rest of her natural life, for the maintenance of herself

I give unto James, my said son

So far, I have failed to understand much of the writing below!, but he does seem to bequeath his messuages to John Jesper, after the death of his wife , on proviso he makes payments to his sisters. BUT, Susan's Will in 1722 - below- seems to give the messuages to the youngest son George!!!

Susan is made the sole Executrix of the Will. There is a clause should she remarry again!

Signed sealed, published & declared by the said Susanna Jesper to be for last Wiil & Testament, in the presence of Thomas Hoy, Martha Hoy, the mark of Mary Mary Brewer.

This will seems to have ignored the wishes of her late husband: I wonder if John Jesper, 1678-1733, contested it??
