~1856. He and his family moved to Bethnal Green late 1855 to late 1856.

1861C.James Parchment , aged 15, silkweaver, living at 28 South Conduit Street with his parents and 5 younger siblings .

1861c

Thefollowing 2 births may be to someone else!, but there is a BG link with the death of the 2nd.

1865. I have found a baptism of an Alice Esther Parchment to James Arthur & Jane Parchment on 15/7/1865 in Paddington, he a conductor.. Bmd registers this birth as St. Alave Jun 1865

1867.I have found a baptism of an Eleanor Jane Parchment to James Arthur & Jane Parchment on 25/5/1867 in Paddington [ birth reg. Jun 1867 Kensington], he an Omnibus driver: could there be 2 James Arthur Parchments??- She then died Sep 1867 back in B.G.

1868. James Parchment, aged 22, packing case maker, marries Emma Broadway, 21,on 6/12/1868, at St. Philip's Church, B.G. His address is 55 Viaduct Street, hers just Viaduct Street. His father, Samuel Parchment, is a Cabinet Maker, hers, William Broadway, is a Lithographic Printer. Both signed. Witnesses are Samuel Parchment & Charlotte Parchment, her mark - his parents

No trace of James Parchment in 1871 & 1881Cs [ a [William James Parchment , born Dec 1876 St.Saviour and married ,aged 36, in 1913 to Mary Nichol, had a different father James born Dagenham].

I suspect James Parchment emigrated between 1868 & 1871 - cannot find him on shipping records on Ancestry. Findmy past records only start 1880.

He did indeed emigrate to Canada. James Parchment is to be found in the 1871 Canadian census as having just died, aged 24, in May -probably 1870 - in a railway accident, his job being a brakeman

His wife, Emma Parchment, aged 23, is living with daughter Jane 2, seemingly born England, in the Station master's house, on Security, in Innisfil, Simcoe South, Ontario

1871c-emma

Although there is a Jane Parchment born Jun 1868 Bethnal Green - this birth is not her : it the daughter of James 1833 & Jane !! And seemingly no other births of any Parchments who could be her 1868-1869. But I have found a baptism of an Eleanor Jane Parchment to James Arthur & Jane Parchment on 25/5/1867 in Paddington, he an Omnibus driver: could there be 2 James Arthur Parchments??- was he married before he married Emma Broadway on 6/12/1868??. He given as batchelor on 1868 marriage and no other marriages on Bmd. My feeling is that Eleanor Jane Parchment was his daughter, born out of wedlock, but then she died Sep 1867 B.G..anyway, so she is not the Jane in Canada! So could Jane have been born in fact in Canada? - I doubt this, or have been born as Jane Broadway in England? - no such birth registered.

I suspect Emma Parchment remarried before the 1881Canadian Census, but cannot find an Emma, born c1847 England, with a daughter Jane born in England
