Emma Savill 1834 -

Baptised 5/10/1834 in G.D. to parents William Savill and Susannah Morrell, father a farmer. S as She is mentioned in the Will of her great-aunt, Mary Rolfe, written in 1848 so seemingly did not die in Mar 1845 but, the 6/3/1845 G.D. burial of an Emma Savill is that of a 12 yr old!!. After years of being unable to resolve the problem of when she died, I noticed, in 2014, the presence of witnesses George & Emma Osborne on the 1862 m.c. of her sister, Frances. And indeed Emma Savill does marry George Osborne, a policeman, on 3/11/1858 in Paddington- London marriages, Ancestry.

Not found in 1861 or 1871Cs or 1881C unmarried. But an Emma Savill dies, aged 49 , in 'Dunmow' in Sep 1884, which could be her : but, unlikely as not buried in G.D. this year, like her sister Sarah Ann, nor was she buried in Barnston . There is no will for an Emma dying in 1884. She also would have received ~£100 in total from her father and her great-aunt: this sum on her 21st birthday in 1855. I think she would only have benefitted from her mother's 1880 death, upon the death of her invalid sister Louisa & that was not until 1890 .Could her aunt have included her in her 1848 will accidently?? and she had indeed died aged 12 ??

1861C. Emma Osborne, 35, born Dunmow, dressmaker, is living 4 Tarlington Place, Paddington with her husband and 2 Osborne children who must have been by a previous marriage- though her husband is given as batchelor on the m.c.

Have not found her/him nor daughters in 1871C/1881C. Does not seem to die 1862-1871 . George could die Kensington Dec 1861. Could she remarry- failed to find her remarriage, with father William Savill, in London Marriages, Ancestry 1861-1881. Have another search later in 2014!
